OpTic Gaming was established in 2006 by OpTic KR3W and the team began competing in the Call of Duty 2 era. OpTic participated in many tournaments, such as NxGamers TDM and SnD, in which the team celebrated its first 2 championships! OpTic is considered to be one of the best teams to play Call of Duty 2.
In 2006, KR3W stepped down after the decline of Call of Duty 2 and instated OpTic Jon3S (OpTicJ) as the leader. OpTic continued to compete in the Call of Duty series and met H3CZ through an NxGamers tournament. H3CZ was a very active referee in the NxGamers league and quickly caught OpTic’s attention. As summer of 2006 approached, OpTicJ approached H3CZ about becoming an official member. When OpTicJ stepped down in 2007, OpTic H3CZ was instated as leader and he quickly took OpTic to new levels of success.
OpTic was one of the few teams that remained committed to sniper game play, despite the overall dominance of automatic weapons. H3CZ, TUMORS, and CoRoSiV3 continued to develop OpTic Gaming into the team you know today. Today, OpTic has grown into one of the most well-known gaming teams. With top snipers, a competitive team, European based players, ProSim team and more, OpTic continues to function as a well rounded gaming organization.
OpTic has built a large fan base across multiple YouTube.com channels. OpTic montages and commentaries are anticipated weekly, in addition to numerous shows/series on Machinina.com.
